We compute two vector field models of the Carnot algebra with the growth vector (2, 3, 5, 8), and an infinitesimal symmetry of the corresponding sub-Riemannian structure.

We construct a gauge theory based on general nonlinear Lie algebras. The generic form of ‘dilaton’ gravity is derived from nonlinear Poincaré algebra, which exhibits a gauge-theoretical origin of the non-geometric scalar field in two-dimensional gravitation theory.
